Part of a Buddhist ritual, the sound of the bell has such a high vibration that evil spirits cannot stand it and the negative energies are dissipated when rung. These feng shui products that have entered the Western world too, are treated with respect and even veneration in their mother country, China. Such values should also be primordial for the feng shui practitioner everywhere else.
