Planning a honeymoon should be done with caution to make sure you get the honeymoon of your dreams. You can look forward to your romantic getaway particularly after the ordeal of planning your wedding ceremony. If you are uneasy about what to plan then attempt to obtain some advice from any newlywed colleagues and acquaintances and do some research about what is available. Never let anyone push her wants onto you or your fiance’s plans.

The first thing to determine is what is your style? To work out your honeymoon style you should think about where you want to go, do you want to go to a city beach, city, or maybe several locations? Think about how much money you want to spend on your romantic getaway. When would you like to go on your honeymoon, straight after the reception, several days after the wedding,or at the wedding venue? Consider the length of your honeymoon from a few nights to a few weeks.

After determining the location then you need to research hotels and other accommodation options. Consider if you want to be staying at a small place with a few room, at an all-inclusive resort, in the heart of a city, close to nightclubs and entertainment, at a large place with many amenities, or at a place that caters to couples of adults only.

Will your meals be included, will you have to prepare them, are you planning on doing any fine dining, or simply use room service. Finally want activities do you want to do, take some long walks on the beach, go to clubs and bar, see some live entertainment or have some romantic time.

It is possible to find affordable honeymoons if you are willing to travel off-peak as these times are always less expensive. You need to let the hotel or cruise now that you are honeymooners as honeymooners tend to get special treatment such as champagne and chocolates, candlelit dinners and flowers. The special attention and extras will make your honeymoon even more unforgettable.

If you are on a budget you should look into doing some off-season travel as you can find some fantastic deals. Whenever you are booking your honeymoon for yourself you should inform your hotel or cruise about it. This way they may have some specials or extra for you that travel agents know about but you may not.

Honeymoons have an average price of $3500 dollars and tend to be about 8 days long though this can vary. Most hotels are found through travel agents and travel websites. Popular honeymoon locations are Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe and the Mediterranean. More exotic locations are French Polynesia, Fiji Islands and Thailand.

To ensure a romantic honeymoon, make sure you get a hotel or resort room in a good location, have that room with balconies that overlook the beach. Ensure you have plenty of flowers and bring incense and candles to set the mood. You should also think about what features you want in your room, plunge pool, bathrobes, air conditioning, minibar, CD player, DVD player, whirlpool bath or a king size bed.
